Building a top-of-mind brand identity is not easy, but the Career Bootcamp for Interpreters organised last week at the London Metropolitan University has been inspirational in so many ways.
Today I just wanted to express my gratitude to Ewandro Magalhaes and the whole team of talented colleagues that I had the pleasure to meet.
Hosted by Danielle D’Hayer, the event was a goldmine of great advice for interpreters at all levels.
Some of the most important take-aways?
• Don’t be a whiner to your PMs! Don’t constantly nag them with questions about your assignment. Answers will arrive, please wait!
• Be the best self-promotion of yourself
• Be flexible (within reason) and versatile: UPSELL
• Acknowledge offers with love. Decline with GRACE
and so many more!
I also wanted to thank Alice Bertinotti for her fantastic insights into social media and social selling! She introduced me to the LinkedIn social score tool, which you can check out your score for free at: https://lnkd.in/gXize4T.
Very helpful!
