Never underestimate the power of being nice 🙂
It may sound twee but it’s so true. I don’t have a strategy or sales technique for “closing”, I just try to be nice. Customer service is my absolute number one goal on any assignment, whether it’s translating certifications or in-person interpreting.
And that’s my advice for anyone, whether you’re looking for a translator or interpreter – don’t underestimate the power of human connection. I don’t know about you but I always prefer a phone call over email, because not only do you continue to build that human connection you often reach a resolution much faster ☎️
When you trust someone with either translating your documentation or helping you secure your next business transaction, look for someone whom you can rely on and get along with – a good relationship goes a long way towards a happy result.
